Key takeaways:

The breakfast kicked off with a discussion about how companies should think about design when starting out. Tracy mentioned that even though it was “fuzzy”, it’s important to start thinking about the human factor in design early on, do your MVP, then focus in on it again. Stephan said that if he’d asked people what they wanted first, they would not have known; stand with your convictions. “Be ready to pivot”, said Gowri, and Silvia agreed.  Spend time thinking about what are your best assets and where you can leverage those in your next iteration.

No discussion about growth is complete without funding. Silvia, Andreas and Greg all represented different stages; Angel, Venture, and Equity Funding. Scott brought some insights about using Bitcoin or block chain to start a business on. Another takeaway was the importance of hiring the right people and making sure you are working to identify people, not just like yourself, but carefully defining and working to attract them to your new startup.
